When a young person meets a youth worker one-to-one at school it can be for a whole bunch of reasons – from friendship issues to anxiety about exams or life in general. We take time to listen to the things they want to talk about make a plan for going forward. The regularity of meeting depends on how often we feel they need to talk and we can see them for just a few weeks, or for several months – it all depends on the young person. Everything they tell us is confidential, unless we believe they or someone may be at harm. All our team are trained Mental Health First Aiders and have experience helping young people navigate life.
