Youth Support Volunteer (one-to-one)

Train as a Youth Support Volunteer!

With growing demand for our one-to-one youth support sessions, we are building our team of volunteers who can listen to and guide young people through life issues, such as friendships, family fallouts, school or growing up.

Could you give 2 hours a week during term-time?

Adolesence is a tough time for many young people and just having a listening, non-judgmental adult who can act as a positive role-model and guide makes a world of difference.

In Autumn 2020, we are expecting the demand for this support to increase further and so we need your help!

Starting with a full day of training you will be supported throughout the whole process and matched with young people according to their need and your experience.

Matrix Youth Support Volunteers are from local churches, volunteer 2 hours a week for 1 academic year during term-time only, to support up to 3 students at any one time.

All applicants will be required to follow our safer recruitment protocol, including providing references, ID and completing a DBS check.

Full training, resources and support are provided.
